[vbox-dev] slow serial connection?

I use windbg to debug windows drivers inside vbox vm. The vm and host PC are connected by a pipe serial connection (Com1).
 
Sometimes, debug could be very slow, compared to vmware. I am not sure if this is a known issue.
 
If you debug Vista OS, it takes a few mins for the first connection.
 
Anyone else has similar experience?
