This patch was created against VirtualBox-2.2.0-OSE it was developed to replace part of the missing RDP functionality found in the closed source edition.

As far as I am aware all QEMU VNC code is compatible with or released under the MIT license, you will of course need to do your own due diligence to confirm this. The vbox code, some of which I have used is of course licensed under the GPL. My own additions which were essentially just linking code I am happy to release under the MIT license.

I required this functionality for my own usage and it has been tested with a few different clients (protocol 3.3, 3.4 and 3.8). I believe
it should be useable for anyone who would like basic console access for a VM over a suitable network link and does not wish to use a remote X session for whatever reason. It undoubtedly has some bugs and the different styles of coding do not necessarily go together very well. I decided however rather than just hide it away I would post it here such that anyone who requires this functionality or perhaps would just like a reference of how to implement it would have it available. Maybe someone with more time than myself would care to
tidy it up or re-write it.
