[vbox-dev] Partial access to hardware for guest / partial Ring0 permission

Hi all

My goal is to boost the graphical performance of a guest OS.

I thus try to allow the guest to directly work with the real video card
(making the host and VBox 'headless'  in the first step, second step is
looking for a way to change between guest and host video).

The consequence is that the guest needs
- access to the hardware
- Ring0 permission for the driver code.

Anybody who can give a hint where to start, what the difficulties will
be etc.??

Answers are welcome in english and german.
