[vbox-dev] Announce: VirtualBox 2.0.6 released!

I guess this is my question:
Is there any way to know which revision in SVN is stable, rather than an intermediate development snapshot?

You say it. Either use the stable version or use the SVN version which
contains some more features but is less stable.
