Reverting Kbuild executables to revision 36 (September 28), fixes the problem....
The other 3 revisions after that one, have the same issue.

Setting the variable had no effect. I rebuilt everything from scratch just to make sure... Still fails.

Try set this environment variable before running kmk:
SET KMK_DONT_USE_NT_QUERY_INFORMATION_FILE=1
