Summary: Guest Additions - Error opening file for writing (VBoxSF.sys) - WinXp64bit germanGuest Additions installation fails in Windows XP 64 guest.

Windows XP64 is not an officially supported platform. Neither as a host or a guest. Apparently the sysnative alias for system32 is not present there (it is in Vista).

If we have some time, we might look into this.

Thanks for the info and your efforts.
I can't notice it from the Changelog.
Now I read it in the manual.

WinXP 32bit guest on WinXP 64bit host seems to work good.

By the way, VirtualBox is very fast.
About 20 seconds to boot WinXP
VMware Workstation 6.5 RC1 needs about 35 seconds.

Apparently the same problem exists in Win2k3 64 bits, which is a supported guest platform. We'll fix it in the next maintenance release.
