external USB hdd problem (CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE) — at Initial Version

Description
I have an external USB HDD. When the HDD is connected VBox errors out with
CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE (0x80080005)
When I disconnect it, VBox works OK
Virtual Box reinstallation does not help.
PS VBox 1.5.6, XP SP2 host
