It happens the second I click on select CD in the device menu.<br>

I must admit that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer with
core dumps. The dump is 7MB tar'ed (217.5MB) each. <br>

How about enabling core dumps and looking where it crashes? I tried a
few CD unmount/mount combinations, and couldn't trigger any problems,
neither in VBoxSVC nor in the GUI.
